Mechanical Superintendent
Job Overview:
CB&I is currently searching for a Mechanical Superintendent. This position will provide on-site administrative and technical management of field related activities on construction project site. Will supervise construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule. Includes interfacing with contractors and different internal groups. Will perform other duties as required.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
Oversees the daily construction activities at work site, including scheduling of workers, delivery of equipment and materials, and progress reporting
Develops financial and operational objectives within own area. Ensures operational plans are aligned with business objectives
Contributes to functional strategy development
Resolves complex problems that have implications beyond own area
Develops relationships with key internal/external customers to identify emerging needs
Influences customer and/or organizational leadership to accomplish operational objectives
Resolves contract disputes and arranges any necessary order changes
Document all violations, notify project management, recommend and implement corrective actions as required
May provide day-to-day direction of on-site administrative staff and/or contractors
Manages the performance of employees through goal setting, ongoing assessment and coaching
Basic
Qualifications:
Minimum 12 years experience
In-depth functional expertise and broad business knowledge gained in similar role
Strong oral and written communications skills
Depth knowledge of LNG Industry, Projects and Refineries
Desired/Preferred
Qualifications:
Prefer B.S. Construction Management degree
Prefer experience on large scope LNG or Refinery project(s)
